Application 

Applications for Young BMECOnline are welcome from 24th March to 24th April 2025.

How to apply? By filling in the form, has a series of questions relating to personal information about you (including questions about dietary restrictions, medical conditions, and choice of activities at the congress) as well as questions about your project, research, or topic you will be presenting atthe  Young BM Congress.​ All data collected in the form will be treated by the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Once you fill out the application registration, we will send you an e-mail confirming your application. After the deadline, we will send you an e-mail with the result of the application. If you are selected as a participant, we will give you the information about the participation fee payment right after the results. Please note that until the participation fee is paid, your participation is not fully confirmed. If the deadline to pay the fee expires and you have not paid it, we will cancel your application in favour of an applicant on the waiting list.

Visa information to enter Greece

Nationals of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) and any third-country national holding a residence permit of a Schengen State do not need a visa to enter Greece.

EU and EEA States are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta,Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Please note that although travel documents are not checked at internal Schengen borders, it is still necessary to carry a travel document (a passport or national ID card) when crossing internal Schengen borders. Competent authorities like police or immigration officials of relevant Schengen State have the right to check travel documents if needed.
In addition to the citizens from EU/EEA, following citizens do not need a visa to enter Schengen Area (Stays not more than 90 days) and only applies to holders of biometric passports.

This includes Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Georgia, Israel, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, San Marino, Serbia and Ukraine. In the case of Serbia, this does not apply to passports issued by the Serbian Coordination Direcorate (Koordinaciona Uprava). 

Countries that need visa to enter Greece:

Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, United Kingdom. 


However, if in doubt, do not hesitate to contact your nearest Greek embassy or consulate to confirm whether or not you need a visa to attend the congress. During the application process, you will also be asked about this. As visas can take time to be granted, applications from non-EU participants will be processed a little earlier than others.
